"Those who cannot see beyond the physical realm will be offended at others' displays of worship. True worship comes from the heart".-AW
There was a season of my mom's life when she had an obsession of FLAKE, that chocolate that well how can I say, that's not intact, its just flakes wrapped together. I have a sweet tooth so best believe that was one of my favorite seasons in HER life.
This is because I used to get half or more each time she unwrapped that little piece of heaven. Here is why I am sharing this, it made me a very happy little girl, I mean a really happy one. It made me love her more hehehe because her being herself, benefited me. If someone had asked me then, why do you love your mom, I'd say because mama shares her flakes with me. It would seem selfish and rather immature for that to be the reason but let's look at it in regard to worship. In as much as the person who asks me why I love her, and they misunderstand my particular reason, its still clear that would be the main treason at that point why I love her. We live in an era where believers of all types are very "loud" about their gods. See, we all may never understand why others display their adoration and worship the way they do but that's only because we have not tasted the 1.love of a sharing *mom* I mean the grace of a providing God or 2.that sweet flake piece no rather, let me say the rewards and gifts of that awesome God we worship. My display of worship won't be understood and may even offend those who have not "tasted" or rather experienced the realm of God that I have. We need to be content enough with our display and form of worship that we are not moved when people decide to be offended by it all. The purpose of our worship is beyond appreciating God, it stems from our love and admiration of the one we worship. I have a friend who was recently told her constant chit chat about how she adores God is disrespectful to those around her who don't believe in Jesus. Now this made me giggle a little and inspired this piece. I am going to buy a flake to celebrate worshipping God without the fear of people (like in other countries) and to also celebrate that in people's offended state of my worship, God is at work in their lives.
