Yes, you will make mistakes. Yes, you will act in ways that are unloving. Yes, you may do things that are harmful. But, nothing that you ever do will be counted against you as sin! Nothing that you ever do will be imputed to your account as sin!
Jesus was fully punished for all of your sins. All sins – past, present and future were punished in the body of Jesus once and for all. There is no more punishment for your sins. There is no more wrath for your sins. It has all been exhausted in the body of Jesus.
You’ve been set free! You’ve been ransomed! You’ve been redeemed! All sins have been removed from you forever! God will never again remember your sins. Not a single one! He can’t! Their gone forever! They’ve been cast as far as the east is from the west.
Does knowing that make you want to rush out and live in sin? Of course not! What does it do then? I'll tell you what it does. It makes you love God more! It makes you appreciate his grace and his goodness and his love. It makes you fall head over heels in love with Jesus.
Guess what happens when you fall head over heels in love with Jesus? You become more like him and his love and his grace begin to flow through you like never before! You begin to walk in your true identity and his righteousness and his holiness manifests in your life without any effort of your own!
