You know, growing up has a way of just creeping up under one's skin, and it always manages to bring some chilly things to ones realization. We always strive to achieve, expand and shine but allow me, to question my life and hope you are able to answer all these for yourselves. Proclaiming Jesus and God on status' and dressing up to church is one thing, but my deepest concern is whether or not I have been able to portray God's love. Do people look @ me and see his work? Does my past in comparison to my present show the mercy of God? What is it that comes to the minds of people when my name pops up? What does the aura I have been blessed with do to people? Have I been able to capture the hearts of people I can access for Jesus? Am I light? Am I salt? Have I been successful in fulfilling the assignments that God entrusted me with? Everyone's secret place has all the answers to those questions!!! Discernment will lead us to correct all that is not the way God expects it be! we all need to have an assessment mindset where we are resting in the grace and love of God but we evaluate just where we have come from and where we are heading. How we think we have done in relation to playing our part in the small section of the world God has placed us, how we plan to improve ourselves and how we plan to mend where we have broken. i dont believe in people beating themselves up for not reaching certain standards but I do believe in them clearly defining where they want to be and setting goals and plans to get there. introspection is important. may this post bring you to a new point of "assessing yourself" just as it has with me.
Philippians 1:6 - "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
